The research center of Wuhan Keqian Animal Biological Products Co.,Ltd is made of two excellent teams, one is the strong and professional research team which relies on the HZAU’s State Key Laboratory of Agricultural Microbiology and HZAU’s Laboratory of Zoonosis. The team has 1 academician of CAE, 10 professors, 13 associate professors, 1 senior engineer, over 200 doctors and masters, which focuses on the basic and application study of animal diseases. The other is the full-time research group, which composes of 72 workers and takes 31.4% in the company’s whole staffs. It is worth to mention that all of them has bachelor’s degree or above, including 4 Ph.D, and 30 masters. The R&D department has four labs, which are the Technical Study Lab, Viral Vaccine Lab, Bacterial Vaccine Lab and the Biological Agents Lab. The center has operated over 10 national or provincial research items, including the 863 National Supporting Plan, Fund for Commercialization of Agricultural Achievements and the hi-tech industrialization demonstration project of National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). The center is cited as the base of national hi-tech industrialization demonstration project, key laboratory of animal diagnostic reagent of the ministry of agriculture, the Creation and Experimental Unit Enterprises of Hubei province, the engineering center of Hubei’s animal biological products and provincial engineering laboratory for prevention and control of animal epidemics.
