Chen Huanchun，Professor, Tutor of Ph.D, Academician of CAE. Professor Chen is the director of the State Key Laboratory of Agricultural Microbiology at Huazhong Agriculture University and the director of academic board in the State Key Laboratory of Virology at Wuhan University. He has been or ever been in charge of over 40 grants from the 973, 863, National Supporting Plan, NSFC, and other important research programs.

Professor Chen’s research area covers the epidemiology, molecular biology, genetic engineering vaccine and molecular diagnostic reagent of the serious animal diseases and zoonosis.

He has been awarded 16 licenses for new animal drugs, 26 invention patents, 2 second award for National Science and Technology Progress, 1 second award for National Achievements in Education, 1 certification of National Key&New Product. Otherwise, 3 national standards and occupation standard from ministry of agriculture were drawn by him. His published papers have been up to 500 in periodicals home and abroad, including 80 papers indexed by SCI. As Tutor for Ph D and Master’s degree students, he has 50 Ph.D students and 70 Master’s degree students graduated.
